Unprecedented Wireless Backhaul

The Beyond the Valley is an annual event held in Lardner, regional Victoria. Horizon Wireless provided our Tarana AbsoluteAir 2 equipment to deliver backhaul where others said it was impossible

In December 2018 Horizon Wireless in partnership with Anycast Group and others, delivered connectivity to support public WiFi in the Beyond the Valley festival in regional VIC. This connection was particularly difficult due to

  • no fire ingress in proximity to venue

  • no line of sight to the existing telco towers in the vicinity

  • temporary (2 week) requirement due to the nature of the event

  • 5.8Ghz interference from the public WiFi that the link is powering

Horizon Wireless worked with Anycast Group and Launch Networks to deliver the end-to-end solution to the Festival.

Our Tarana AbsoluteAir 2 backhaul solution was the only option that was able to deliver connectivity over this particular link.
